2011-2016 The Kym Sellers Foundation: Multiple Sclerosis
Meridian Hospitality Group is a proud sponsor of MSD volunteering professional, technical and personal services to Kym Sellers and The Kym Sellers Foundation. The Kym Sellers Foundation was established in April 2000 in Cleveland, Ohio as an Ohio not-for-profit organization granted exemption status under IRS 501(c)(3).
One of the personal technologies that we introduced to Kym Sellers was to let her voice do the typing with Voice-to Text (TTS) Technology. Today, computers and other electronic devices not only have the ability to convert spoken words into text but they can read text out loud. Text-to-Speech can be utilized to help people with a variety of other physical disorders as well, such as Stephen Hawking who has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and uses TTS to communicate his brilliant ideas.
The Meridian Team took over The Kym Sellers Foundation website in 2011 under difficult circumstances as it was a non-functioning website and had successfully restored the website’s functionality while developing sustainable fixes on a number of challenges discovered during the transition to Meridian Hospitality Group’s hosting site. The website has been redesigned with custom programming and graphics over the years to meet the growing technology while incorporating the Foundation’s marketing materials while providing administration operations.
Meridian Hospitality Group has provided audio, visual and developed presentation materials for the Kym Sellers Foundation Gala Benefit. The Gala raises dollars for the free seminars hosted by Kym Sellers.
